Raccoons have solid smelling urine that can be distinguished from inside the house, also their feces, which is equally foul and solid smelling. Raccoons transmit a parasitic disease, roundworm. And keeping in mind that this disease doesn't influence them, it may be risky for people, having the option to cause neurological damage and even death. The raccoons discharge this parasitic worm and its eggs in their feces. Whenever exposed to these eggs, we can get contaminated. The roundworm eggs ousted by raccoons are incredibly flexible and can endure extraordinary temperatures, both cold and hot. When the eggs dry, they become airborne.

We can get roundworm either by contacting the feces with our hands or by taking in sullied dust particles once the eggs are airborne. Even though as not as risky as the roundworm, raccoon feces may also contain giardia, a flagellated parasite that also presents a threat to us. Raccoon urine is similarly hazardous and can transmit a bacterial disease that represents a significant threat to our kidney functionality – leptospirosis.

Raccoons can shed Leptospirosis in their urine and discharges. Exposure of these discharges to open injuries or orally can make disease people. Different Diseases: Other bacterial diseases, (for example, Salmonella or E. Coli), growth and uncommon parasites can also be a hazard for disease in people.

If you believe there's a danger of either an individual or a pet coming into contact with the feces, clean it. Regardless of whether a raccoon poops in the pool, the chlorine won't execute roundworm eggs. If however,  you don't clean feces in the attic, it's likely to draw in bugs, maybe future creatures and the roundworm spores live quite a while. But on the other hand, there's a decent possibility nothing could ever occur, since you don't contact the feces up there.

All raccoon exposures including nibbles and scratches should be examined by a doctor and answered to Public Health. Raccoon exposures to pets should be accounted for to the Public Health Veterinarian.

Vaccinate cats, dogs, and ferrets to ensure them against rabies; consider inoculating dogs for leptospirosis.
